Common problems
Algoryvo does not appear in the Navigator
Check the .ex5 file is exactly in MQL5/Experts (not a subfolder) and press Refresh on Expert Advisors, or restart MT5.
The EA is on the chart but does not trade
Check in order: Algo Trading button green, “Allow algorithmic trading” ticked in the EA properties, broker connection active (green bars), and the Experts tab for licence or symbol messages.
I cannot find XAUUSD
Right click Market Watch → Symbols and search for “XAU” or “GOLD”: every broker names gold its own way.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use any broker?
Any that meets the technical requirements: MetaTrader 5, XAUUSD, hedging accounts and algorithmic trading allowed. Conditions (spread, commissions, swap) vary between brokers and affect results.
Does it work on Mac?
The supported setup is MetaTrader 5 for Windows. On Mac, the practical route is a Windows VPS (recommended) or a virtual machine.
Do I need a VPS?
Not for testing on demo. To run continuously without depending on your PC, it is the norm: a few euros a month.
What is leverage?
It lets you open a position larger than the collateral you deposit (margin). It multiplies gains and losses equally relative to the margin: that is why lot size matters more than the leverage number. In the EU, retail CFD clients have negative balance protection. General information, not a recommendation.
Spread, swap, drawdown?
Spread: the difference between buy and sell price, the cost of each trade. Swap: a small charge or credit for holding a position overnight. Drawdown: how far the curve falls from its peak before recovering — the key risk metric, which is why we publish it.
